Shelter Building
Shelter building is an activity that involves using natural materials, such as logs, branches, leaves, and rocks, to construct shelters for animals and people. By relying on locally sourced materials, shelter building promotes sustainability, creativity, and hands-on skills in crafting functional structures that blend with the environment. It can be an essential skill for wilderness survival, as well as a valuable team-building or educational activity.

Stream Study
Stream Study is an educational activity where children wade into little cold creek, using nets to collect and observe aquatic life. It provides a hands-on opportunity for kids to learn about the various creatures living in freshwater environments, such as insects, small fish, and other organisms. The focus is on exploration and discovery, fostering curiosity about nature while ensuring safety as the children remain in shallow water.

Indoor Centres @ GL
Inside the Conservation centre, we offer children a fun and engaging environment where they can explore various activities. These centres typically provide a variety of games, toys, and craft supplies, allowing children the freedom to choose what interests them most. Whether it’s building with blocks, creating art, or playing interactive games, the centre encourages creativity, learning, and active play in an indoor setting.

At our camp, we are committed to providing a fun and safe experience for all children. Due to our focus on outdoor activities and our current staff capacity, we are not equipped to accommodate children with high needs or significant behavioral challenges at this time, as we do not have the specialized supports needed. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions regarding your child’s participation.
All day campers will be expected to adhere to our "Behaviour Expectations". Red Pine Roots reserves the right to send a child home due to unacceptable behaviour and that it is the policy of the camp that any camper leaving early will not be entitled to any amount of refund.
